Art Hop recipe January 8, 2009-humus.

1 cup of marinated artichoke hearts
1 cup shaken marinated artichoke heart juice. This makes the humus more liquid. I thought of adding only 3/4 cup, but everyone really liked it this way. Reserve ¼ cup of artichoke heart juice.
Blend gently in a blender the hearts and ¾ cup of the juice, and remove the contents.
1 cup sliced black olives
1 1 # 8 oz can of garbanzo beans, with the liquid poured off.
Cut up 16-18 cloves of fresh garlic, adding them to the blender.
¼ cup of marinated artichoke heart juice.
Blend until the beans are the desired consistency.
Add in ground cumin, paprika, and thyme, and the ground up artichoke hearts, and blend together quickly.
Makes a bunch.

I suggest you make this the day before, so the flavors meld together. Very garlicky!

Instead of chips or bread, I used crinkle cut on the diagonal carrots, snow peas, and celery cut into 4” lengths.
